Tom,

Being European, the Nook is not in the picture as B&N simply decided not to deliver it's Nook, outside of the USA.
Amazon's Kindle's (I own a DX Graphite and a 6" Wifi Graphite) is the only dominant e-reader, with Sony as probably the only serious competitor, looking at performance and technology.
Pricewise, no other reader can beat Amazon's Kindle in Europe.

Hey Tom,

Thanks for the questions. I think we will do a post soon comparing the two.

Wasn't there something about Amazon suing B&N for their nook, as well?

It seems nook has pretty much dominated Kindle lately, at least in market share. And especially considering it was the main catalyst that drove Kindle 2's price prematurely to $189 (in their noted 4-hour-delayed response to B&N's price drop to $199 on their nook 3G).

What are your thoughts on nook v. Kindle? To me, nook is obviously better, if for nothing else than the Droid operating system. Always having a current, up-to-date device, opposed to having to keep buying the new one (as with the Kindle line) is a huge positive in my book, not to mention the in-store features and notably sleeker design.

Just speculation. How do you think they compare? And if you think Kindle is better, what do you think it has over the nook?

Thanks!
